The right model and you'd get either yoga fold type setup or detachable keyboard meaning they could use around the house. Limited info but I would consider a chrome OS laptop over a pi for this maybe. Eg if they have an iPhone I bet Mac / iPad would be a doddle. Where possible chose an OS close to what they know. Give them an OS they're used to where possible or makes things simpler. Unless you out the pi in a proper case with power button will they get it? 90% it's perfect but when she needs help remotely it's hard for me as I don't have one. Means you can do steps together and see mostly what they are. However some advice from someone who has to do tech support for their parent. Not sure chrome OS is well a well supported / performing OS for pi's at the moment. Mint or raspberry pi OS would be my recommendation for easy to use. The best thing?
